Smoothie Recipes

Smoothie recipes are easy to make and great addition to your lunchbox. They contain the whole fruit and are packed full of nutrients. Smoothie’s count towards your 5 a day.

Smoothie's can make a great way of getting children to include fruit and vegetables in their diet.

The easiest way to make a smoothie is by using a good smoothie maker. However, you can use an electric hand blender too.

Here are some smoothie ideas. Just put the ingredients into your blender and whiz,

Mango and Passion Fruit Smoothie

  • 1/2 mango - skinned and stone removed
  • 1/2 banana – peeled
  • Seeds of 1 passion fruit
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Pineapple and Coconut Smoothie– A Pina Colada without the alcohol!

  • 100 mil coconut milk
  • 140g (5oz) fresh pineapple cut into chunks
  • 300ml pineapple juice
  • Strawberry Smoothie

  • Punnet of strawberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 300ml apple juice
  • Mixed Berry Smoothie

  • 350g (12oz) mixed summer fruits (frozen works well)
  • 100ml Orange juice
  • 1/2 banana – peeled
  • 100ml natural yogurt (you can use water for a lighter option
